How do I know that BAF is on the right track. Alison Larkin is kicking ass and taking names!!! Matt Empermo exudes the BAF type of mountain toughness so few posses in today's world. Kevin Cunningham is leading the way at 63 and is arguably the most fit dude I know! I could go on and on about the amazing people getting after it on Berkshire Adventure Fitness's daily adventure rucks but I'll let you attend the next adventure and see it for yourself.
Today was the kind of day that you just can't help sitting back and looking at it in awe. That's right Kevin, Matt and myself did week number two of the ruck, swim and lift sandbag extravaganza wod (workout of the day). Getting fit, in layman's terms meaning improving your ability to do work in a whole bunch of athletic tasks. Kevin has 9 (that's insane) Iron Man Triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 miles cycling and 26.2 miles running) under his belt, meanwhile my swim experience includes swimming up to a wet bar at an all inclusive Caribbean Resort. Opportunity to improve fitness means stepping outside your comfort zone and working on weaknesses and be willing to try new modalities. Well in the few weeks that we've incorporated swimming into our repertoire the improvements have been amazing. That's right, all it takes is a willingness to improve, some great company and some knowledgeable and enthusiastic coaching and your guaranteed to succeed.
Looking forward to the continued amazing adventures coming up and the indomitable spirit displayed daily by the BAF ruckers!!!
